Sencha Chumushi is a medium-steamed sencha produced from tea leaves that are harvested in spring and early summer. The process through which the leaves are steamed does not fracture the leaves as much as deeper steaming styles, which yields a more needle-like leaf and a clearer beverage. Sencha Chumushi has a refreshing flavor and a remarkable vegetal fragrance. It is an older style of sencha that has been around for over three centuries.
