What is GABA? GABA stands for Gamma-AminoButyric Acid is a chemical messenger, or neurotransmitter, that naturally occurs in the brain and it helps ensure that information reaching your brain cells moves efficiently and accurately. To create the GABA in the tea, the oolong is specially processed by flushing it with nitrogen during the otherwise traditional processing of an oolong tea. The GABA chemical compound has been touted as lowering stress levels, improving sleep, and reducing depression and anxiety. To read more about this please visit Wikipedia

Why we sell it: To us, the most important characteristics of any tea are quality, freshness, and of course taste. With that said we fell in love with this tea! This tea is a higher oxidized oolong that begins as a tightly rolled brown ball and steeps up a deep amber liquor. It smells like a fresh garden of honeysuckle and chamomile on a wet rainy morning. The taste is sweet and mild and hangs in the mouth for a few swallows making for a fantastic experience.

High Mountain Oolong
