Keemun Black tea (occasionally spelled Qimen) hails from the Anhui province of China. Full-bodied, slightly fruity, and naturally slightly sweet, Keemun Black makes a wonderful cup of tea. This tea has notes of coco, dried plum, and maltiness, and is reminiscent of a breakfast tea.
Despite its relatively short history (for a Chinese tea!) Keemun became known throughout the world by 1915 and in taste tests conducted by the leading tea companies of the day, was preferred over Darjeeling.
