Gui Fei oolong is a dynamic, complex oolong that has light notes of cedar, fruit, spice, and honey. It falls into the “bug-bitten” category of tea because it is left on the stem while it undergoes the oxidation process. Hand rolled, it is grown in the Lugu Township of Nantou County in central Taiwan.
This tea is named for Yang Gui Fei, who was the favored consort of Emperor Xuanzong and known as one of the “Four Beauties of Ancient China”.
