I wanted to like this English Breakfast — the description promises a full-bodied, malty, rich flavor with a hint of sweetness and calls it ‘whole leaf.’ Unfortunately both the original and replacement I received had very small, broken fragments (many under 5 mm — see photos) rather than larger whole leaves. When brewed, it was noticeably astringent and flat, lacking the promised maltiness and body. It didn’t improve much with milk or sugar. Customer service was responsive with a credit and replacement, but the issue persisted. Might work for someone who prefers a quick, strong cup, but it didn’t match my expectations.
