Sometimes called the “Champagne of Teas”, Darjeeling teas on their own are considered quite fine, but Darjeeling First Flush is considered uncommon and is highly sought after. The first “flush” of tea is the first batch of tea that is picked, often in March or April.
The first flush of Darjeeling tea is lighter than the second flush because the leaves have not oxidized as much. Our First Flush Darjeeling is light, sharp, and crisp, with notes of flowers and citrus. In some regions, it is often served with cream and sugar.
